COWLEY RESEARCH GROUP

I was raised in Cocoa, FL where I spent the majority of my youth.  After a brief stay in Montgomery, AL, my family settled in Charlotte, NC.  I attended Duke University and graduated in 2004 with a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Religion.  Currently in my 4th year of graduate studies, my primary research at Texas ranges from synthetic design of new organic ligands to charge transfer studies in lanthanide complexes.  My group duties involve maintenance of our one-man drybox, operation of the x-ray diffractometer and crystal structure analyses.  Research aside, my hobbies consist of Duke basketball, Texas football, reading, cooking and tennis.  For further academic information, please see my CV
