Craig Cone
Craig Cone hails from southwest Colorado from there he attended Regis University in Denver Colorado, where he graduated with a chemistry and mathematics degree with honors in 2005. Craig's research focuses on energy transfer in conjugated organic systems and creating algorithms to more accurately interpret experimental results. Craig is beginning his third year of graduate school at Texas.
Dave Ostrowski

Dave Ostrowski is a graduate student in physical chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. His research is currently focused on near field scanning optical microscopy. Dave is beginning his third year of graduate school.
Dörthe M. Eisele

Dörthe M. Eisele graduated from Technical University of Berlin in Germany with her diploma in Physics in 2003 with special interest in high energy resolution detectors at low temperature for X-Ray fluorescence. She was working as a research assistant for Prof. P. Fumagalli at the Free University of Berlin, Germany and joining the group of Prof. J.P. Rabe at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany as a graduate student since 2004. She came to UT to join the Vanden Bout group as a guest in 2007 as part of the collaboration project with the Rabe group. Her research is concerned with optical properties of individual J aggregates of cyanine dyes to investigate by NSOM and related methods.
Micah Glaz

Micah Glaz received his B.S in Chemistry from University of California, Davis in 2006 while doing research with Dr. William Jackson. After a year of working for an environmental analytical company, he decided to attend graduate school in physical chemistry. Micah's research project consists of probing nanowires using near field scannin optical microscopy. He is also working on the organic solar cell project. Micah is finishing his first year as a graduate student.
Katie Clark

Katie Clark is finishing her first year as a graduate student in physical chemistry. She received a B.S. in chemistry and a minor in mathematics at Stephen F. Austin State University. After taking 6 months off to work in industry, she joined the Vanden Bout group in order to do research in single molecule spectroscopy.
Nick Laude

Nick Laude is a senior undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin. His interests are in physical chemistry and he is currently assisting in the near field scanning optical microscopy research. Nick will be graduating from UT Austin in the Spring 2008.
