SHUHUI WAN

Shuhui Wan was born in Hubei, China in 1979. She received her B.S and M.S in Wuhan University, China, where she focused on the synthesis of macrocyclic polyamines and their interaction with DNA under the supervision of the professor Zhou Xiang.

She enrolled in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the University of Texas at Austin and joined the Anslyn group in fall 2005. Now her research is on the chemically modified aptamers with boronic acid and their recognition to oligosaccharides.
