My name is Michelle Adams. I am originally from Plano, TX, but I have also lived in Boston, MA and Belgium. I completed my BS degree in Chemistry from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. At SMU, I worked under Dr. David Y. Son synthesizing bidentate ligands to bind to various metals. In Fall 2007, I started my graduate work at UT and joined the Anslyn group. My research focuses on developing indicator displacement assays to detect the concentration of terpenes in wines, which will assist in chemically predicting the taste of wine.
