Welcome to the home page of the Brodbelt research group! Our research program is focused in two areas: the evaluation of molecular recognition by mass spectrometry and the development of novel mass spectrometric methods for detection and characterization of biologically active molecules. We use quadrupole ion trap tandem mass spectrometry to approach these problems. The quadrupole ion trap is recognized as one of the most sensitive and versatile mass spectrometers, and it is an excellent tool for solving complex bio-analytical problems. Click the Research link to the left to learn more about our research.
